Beth Funari Sims has been a fitness and nutrition enthusiast for as long as she can remember. She’s an avid runner, a professionally trained dancer and former high school and college cheerleader. She earned her personal training degree from NASM (the National Academy of Sports Medicine) and loves sharing her passion for a healthy, rewarding lifestyle with her clients.
Beth is originally from Pennsylvania and recently relocated to Cleveland from Manhattan. Though she enjoyed the big city’s energy for several years she thinks Cleveland is a great place to live!
Growing up Beth was classically trained in ballet and entertained the idea of spending her life dancing. Ultimately she decided she enjoys a mix of physical activities. In high school at Allentown Central Catholic she ran track and was named Captain of the school’s competitive cheerleading team while continuing to study ballet, jazz, modern and tap dancing.
Beth has completed several 10ks and half-marathons. She loves running but thinks an integrated approach is important and fits in strength training, biking, pilates, yoga and more regularly.
Beth believes in keeping her clients workouts fresh so the body is constantly challenged. Her approach is fun, but tough – every minute counts – and Beth wants to make sure her clients are continually working towards their goals and getting great results! She has worked with clients of many ages and backgrounds, and enjoys the variety.
In her spare time Beth manages an environmental based website and is an experienced healthy-recipe developer (her recipes have been featured on national websites such as Yahoo News and Healthy Bitch). She enjoys traveling, hiking, and cooking nutritious and delicious food for her husband, family and friends.
