Weight Room Orientation
Join the free 1-hour Weight Room Orientation Class led by a Butler Fitness certified personal trainer. In this session, you’ll understand the purpose and benefits of each exercise machine at Mentor Community Recreation Center. Get hands-on guidance to use equipment correctly and avoid injuries. Gain insight and knowledge to make the most of your workouts. At the end of this free class, you’ll feel confident on the weight room floor and ready to start.

Lisa’s motto, “We GET to exercise!” reflects her deep belief that gratitude is the key to happiness. She approaches every workout with the mindset that exercise is a gift, not a chore. Her favorite exercises include pushups, planks, and plank variations—movements that build strength and stability while being accessible to everyone.
Certifications: ACSM Certified Personal Trainer, CPR/AED Certified through the American Heart Association, CSCS Certified

Hobbies & Interests:

A graduate of Holy Name High School in ’01, Tom was a standout athlete and varsity captain in both football and track. As a result of his hard work and dedication he was named All North Coast League, 1st Team in football as a free safety. He was also honored with a Plain Dealer Player of the Week as a free safety, kick returner and long snapper. At the end of his senior season he received the team’s prestigious “Namer Award” which is given to the player who most exemplifies teamwork and dedication.
