Building Strength and Confidence: Kristen’s Fitness Journey
Kristen was looking for a routine she could actually stick with, something consistent, realistic, and built to last.
Around that same time, routine blood work showed she was pre-diabetic, which made that decision feel more important. It shifted her focus away from appearance and toward her health, her energy, and how she felt day to day.
She wanted to improve her numbers, feel better, and take a more proactive approach instead of waiting for things to get worse.
Getting started is one thing. Building something sustainable is another.
Taking the First Step
Kristen began with a simple goal: create a routine she could stick with.
“I didn’t want to become a smaller version of myself. I wanted to become a stronger version.”
That mindset led her to strength training.
At Prescription Fitness, the focus went beyond weight loss. It was about building strength, protecting muscle, improving movement, and creating a routine designed to hold up over time.
As part of her plan, she also began taking semaglutide after learning she was pre-diabetic. But from the beginning, she understood it was just one piece. The real progress would come from what she did consistently.
Building a Routine That Works
At first, the biggest shift was simply showing up.
Kristen started incorporating 30-minute training sessions into her schedule and quickly realized that effective workouts did not have to be long. They just had to be intentional.
“I used to think if I wasn’t in the gym for an hour or more, it didn’t count. I couldn’t have been more wrong.”
With structure and guidance, those sessions started to build momentum. What once felt like something she had to plan around gradually became part of her routine.
Strength Over Quick Fixes

Semaglutide helped make nutrition more manageable as part of her overall plan with Butler Wellness Group, but it was her consistency that made the difference.
In the beginning, the changes were not immediately visible. Her energy improved. She felt stronger from workout to workout. Showing up became easier, and the routine started to feel natural instead of forced.
Those early wins built momentum that carried forward.
Real Results That Go Beyond the Scale
Around the three-month mark, that momentum became visible.
Since starting, Kristen has lost 38 pounds while maintaining and building muscle. She now ranks above average for muscle mass within her weight range.
But the biggest changes are not just numbers.
She feels more confident. She moves better. She is stronger in her everyday life. Her focus has shifted away from quick results and toward long-term progress.
“Now I pay attention to strength gains, energy, recovery, and how consistent I’m being.”
A New Approach to Fitness and Nutrition
Kristen’s approach to nutrition has changed as well. Instead of focusing on restriction, she now prioritizes fueling her body to support her training, recovery, and energy.
She still allows flexibility, understanding that long-term success comes from balance, not perfection.
That same approach shows up in her routine. Her goals for the year are simple and realistic:
- Drink more water
- Stay active outside the gym with 8,000 steps per day
- Focus on progress over perfection
Making the Shift

Looking back, the biggest change was not the program or even the results. It was the decision to stop waiting.
“For a long time I waited for the right time, more motivation, or a perfect plan. What I really needed was support, guidance, and the willingness to start.”
Once she did, everything began to move in the right direction.
Progress does not come from doing everything perfectly. It comes from building strength, staying consistent, and having the right support along the way.
