Working out is no easy task. Getting into the gym or getting together with your trainer takes dedication and time. But how much time should you spend in the gym to get a “good” workout?

How Much Time Is Needed?

We program our client’s workouts as long as they are willing to stay and train, which could be anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours or more. The length of time you spend in the gym should be calculated based on your ideal weight or strength training goals.

What’s Your Schedule?

People have different schedules, which means not everyone can spend seven days a week at two hours per training session. It would help if you talked this time over with your trainers at Prescription Fitness. Because we always ensure to ask our clients how much time they’re comfortable with training here with us.

Start Slowly

Whether you’re working on cardio, strength, or weight training, you should first make sure you have the time needed to complete your goals over the right amount of time without rushing. Ideally, it would help if you were spending at the very least 30 minutes to 60 minutes every other day at the gym training. The last thing you want is an injury, so make sure to take your time and start easy and work your way up as you continue your program.
